From Behind
the Lens
Every photograph is a story before it becomes an image. These are a few of mine — the moments, the light, and the people that shape how I see Atlanta and the world as a photographer.

Portrait · Atlanta
When a Legend Stands Still
Some frames you prepare your whole life for. Standing a few feet from a legend of the game, surrounded by noise and cameras, I learned that the biggest names are still, at their core, human. The work of a portrait photographer in Atlanta isn't to capture fame — it's to find the quiet second beneath it.
I waited for the noise to fall away, for his eyes to settle, and pressed the shutter once. That single, honest frame says more than a hundred posed ones ever could. Whether you're a public figure or booking your first editorial headshots in Atlanta, my approach never changes: I make room for you to be yourself, then I disappear behind the camera.

Cityscape · Golden Hour
Chasing Light Across Atlanta
There's a fifteen-minute window each evening when Atlanta turns to gold. The light slides low between the buildings of Midtown and Downtown, and for a moment the whole city feels like a film set. As an Atlanta photographer, I've learned to live for that window — to be standing in the right street, camera ready, before it arrives.
This frame is everything I love about golden hour photography: warmth, depth, and a sense that the city is breathing. It's also why I plan portrait and couples sessions around sunset — the most flattering, cinematic light in Georgia is free, but it doesn't wait for anyone.

Family · Real Moments
The Little Giants
The best family photos aren't the ones where everyone says “cheese.” They're the in-between moments — a giggle, a tiny hand reaching out, the look a parent gives when they think no one is watching. As an Atlanta family photographer, my job is to stay patient and ready for those seconds.
This little one stole the whole session. No posing, no pressure — just play, and a camera quietly catching it. That's what a real family portrait session in Atlanta should feel like: less like a photoshoot, more like an afternoon you'll want to relive for years.

Wildlife · Fine Art
Patience & the Wild
Wildlife taught me everything I know about timing. You can't rush a lion, you can't direct the moment — you can only show up, settle in, and wait for the one heartbeat where everything lines up. That same patience is what I bring to every wedding, event, and portrait I shoot.
This frame is part of my fine art photography work, and one of the pieces I'm proudest to offer as a print. The discipline of nature photography — light, anticipation, restraint — quietly shapes the way I see people, too.
